Support Services

A comprehensive orientation session is provided to students when the semester commences. It is an event to help you feel at home, meet people and make friends along the way. The orientation covers information about various support services and student counseling. Special lectures cover everything from IT access and elearning, to library use and medical facilities at YIC.

In today’s competitive world, fluent English is essential. Research shows that employers around the world are looking for graduates with strong English language skills. The English Language Institute at Yanbu (ELCY) has a range of support programs to help students enhance their English skills, help them to succeed at the College, and increase their employability in the international workforce. A YIC degree, coupled with strong English language
skills, give you the basis for a great future.

Students at YIC are offered a room in the Student Residence building on the College campus. This makes moving to Yanbu a simple process. When you arrive at the beginning of the first semester you can move in straightaway. The fully furnished modern rooms have a study desk and free Internet access. The student residence is located in a very convenient location, with ample greenery. Students have everything within easy walking distance – laundry rooms with automatic machines,  other facilities for snacks,  a campus mosque that can accommodate 1,000 worshippers, as well as a sports centre.
