Introduction:
Academic success is very important in Yanbu Industrial College . The Center for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) exists as part of the College to offer help and support to all students. The Center's ceaseless efforts to improve its academic performance continue to be the hallmark of its daily encounter with students. The quiet work of 40 multi-national faculty members to adjust their approaches and methodologies to the different groups of students and their different linguistic needs is a testament of their professionalism. We believe that the good language teacher is the one who is able to adjust, remold, and refashion his approaches so they are relevant to the needs of his students, their backgrounds, and their learning style. We, indeed, have a group of outstanding teachers whose work extends beyond the classrooms. They develop new books, write supplementary materials, produce excellent tests, etc.
Mission :
The mission of the Center is to equip the incoming students with the necessary English language skills that will enable them to pursue their technical studies using English as the medium of instruction.
Services:
The English Language Center offers twenty-two (22) courses in total. Six (6) of these are fundamental courses which are intensively taught for twenty hours per week each. The other sixteen (16) courses are more advanced and offered during the first and second year of specialization as well as courses for the B.Sc. program. They are taught for 2 – 3 hours per week each. The Center also offers special English courses as needed.

Associate Degree: ENG 001, ENG 002 (English for Technology), ENG 011, ENG 012 (English for Business), ENG 101, ENG 111 (English Communication), ENG 102 (English Composition for Technology), ENG 112 (English Composition for Business), ENG 201 (Technical Report Writing), ENG 211 (Business Report Writing).
B.Sc. Program: ENG 301 (Academic Writing I-Skills), ENG 302 (Academic Writing II-Research), ENG 311 (Business Writing I), ENG 312 (Business Writing II)
