CAMPUS LIFE
At YIC, students earn a top rate education and enjoy a campus culture of unparalled diversity. The College campus is noted for integral and comprehensive facilities which enable students to socialize as well as practise cultural and sports activities. It provides a congenial atmosphere where students enjoy meeting each other and exchange views and ideas.
Living at YICImpressive buildings have been erected for Administration, Academic Studies, and Applied Studies, including technical laboratories and workshops. The Applied Studies Building is fully equipped with engineering facilities and industrial instructional equipment. The other facilities include:
- One thousand housing units for students. These units are fully equipped and furnished so that students can lead their own way of life with respect to national traditions and values.
- Single staff housing, family staff housing, and playgrounds for children.
- A Mosque, distinguished by its excellent design, which can accommodate 1000 worshippers. It is equipped with ablution units, toilets, and an office for the Muezzin and the Imam.
- A Library, which in addition to a comprehensive stock of scientific and technical references, periodicals, newspapers, and magazines, also includes an audiovisual and internet sections, production studio and microfilm and microfiche equipment.
- A Student/Staff Center which includes a large dining hall, snack bar, and faculty lounge.
- Support facilities including an auditorium, maintenance building, recreation center, gymnasium, medical center, and sports center. The sports center includes football, basketball, volleyball, and tennis grounds, as well as swimming pools.
The College requires a medical record for each student so that he can receive free medical treatment at the Royal Commission Hospital. To ensure the well-being of students, the College has provided a Health Center with first aid supplies and other medication.
