EEET Department History

The Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology Department (EEET) at Yanbu Industrial College (YIC) started in 1991.The department was developed in conjunction with the development of local industries. It provides both the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills and training necessary for professional success in this growing industrial field.

EEET provides a wide range of principles of electrical and electronics that is required in today’s global market place. The student is exposed to modern high-tech concepts applicable in a variety of industries in the domains of process control, power generation and transmission, electrical installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical & electronic equipments and systems.

A key element of the technology education emphasized is the hands-on-laboratory experience our students receive. Our modern laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment so that our students can be immediately productive upon graduation.

Cooperative training is provided in local industries where students try out the theory and practices learned in the classrooms in the real world.
